Instructions and Precautionary Measures
Placement Selection:
- Determine the optimal placement for the SitStraightUp: abdomen, shoulders, abdominal sides, or the back (note: back placement is not included in this package). Choose based on your postural requirements.
- For placement suggestions, refer to the accompanying diagram, but always adapt to your unique body type.
Prepare the Skin:
Ensure the chosen area is clean from any dirt, oil, hair, or sweat. A clean, dry surface is essential for effective adhesion.
How It Works
Gentle Reminder:
When you start to slouch, the balls end of the Trainer will gently brush against your skin, giving you a subtle poke to remind you to sit up straight.
Customizable Adjustment:
Adjust the Trainer up or down on the double-sided stretch tape until you find the perfect position that provides the best gentle poke feeling.
For a firmer reminder, you can trim some or all of the balls off the tip of the Trainer with scissors. When the tip pokes the skin, be careful not to injure yourself.
Effective Posture Correction:
This gentle poke encourages you to maintain good posture throughout the day, helping to prevent back pain and promote overall health.
Trainer Application:
- Remove the Skin Adhesive Strip from the protective wrap.
- Place the adhesive side on the prepared area of the skin.
- Peel off the protective waxed paper layer from the SitStraightUp Posture Trainer.
- Adhere the Trainer to the graphic side of the Skin Adhesive Strip.
- Position the Trainer approximately ¼ inch from the top edge of the Skin Adhesive Strip. The placement can be adjusted based on your body contours.
- Placing the SitStraightUp Trainer on the abdomen.
- For optimal placement of the SitStraightUp Trainer, position the bottom edge approximately 1/4 - 1/2 inch below the Xiphoid Process . However, depending on your individual body shape, you may need to adjust this positioning higher or lower for comfort and effectiveness.
For some users, placing the trainer upside down, with the balls positioned just below the Xiphoid Process, can provide an effective remind.
Location Adjustment:
- Adjust the Trainer portion up or down on the Skin Adhesive Strip to achieve your best effect. You want the balls end to gently touch your skin when your posture begins to worsen, reminding you to correct your posture.
Replacement Period:
- For best results and hygiene, replace the SitStraightUp every 2 hours. Remove by gently peeling off the Skin Adhesive Strip from the skin.
Trainer Feedback:
- The Trainer gently nudges you when your posture isn't upright. Feel the cue and adjust your body to maintain a correct posture.
Trainer Removal:
- When you decide to remove the Trainer, peel off the Skin Adhesive Strip gently from the skin.
Daily Use:
- SitStraightUp Posture Trainer is suitable for daily activities like work, study, walking, driving or relaxation. Follow these steps and you'll be on a path to better posture and health.
Precautionary Measures:
- Safety: Store out of reach of children under 15 to avoid choking risks. Refer to the Warning list for more details.
- Skin Sensitivity: Ensure no known allergies to materials in SitStraightUp, especially the adhesive. If uncertain, perform a patch test: apply a tiny piece of Skin Adhesive Strip and monitor for reactions.
- Proper Placement: Adhere to the placement instructions to avoid discomfort.
- Adhesive-Protected-strip Duration: Replace every 2 hours, and use no more than 4 hours daily. Overusing the same strip might reduce its efficacy and risk skin irritation.
- Skin Conditions: Do not place the Trainer on skin with conditions, wounds, or rashes. Wait until healing is complete.
- Discomfort or Pain: The Trainer cues gently. If it causes pain or lasting discomfort, stop using it and see a healthcare expert.
- Regular Intervals: Remove the trainer periodically to let your skin breathe and reduce potential irritations.
- Trainer Disposal: SitStraightUp Posture Trainer is disposable. Please dispose of it responsibly like other health products.
WARNING:
- The SitStraightUp Posture Trainer is neither classified as a medical Trainer nor has it received approval from the FDA.
- The SitStraightUp Posture Trainer is not suitable for use by children below the age of 15.
- The adhesive strip of the SitStraightUp Posture Trainer is not intended for use in the treatment or healing of injuries.
- The SitStraightUp Posture Trainer does not contain any chemicals or substances that have healing properties or that can cause harm to the human body.
- It is advised not to use the SitStraightUp Posture Trainer for more than two hours in a single day.
- Prior to using the SitStraightUp Posture Trainer, it is recommended to seek the advice of a medical professional.
